FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
♦ How long will the eyelash extensions last?
When the lash artist applies them correctly, eyelash extensions will fall out with the natural lash cycle without damaging your natural lashes. They will take between 2-4 weeks to touch up or refill, and about 4-6 weeks for them to fall out completely.
♦ What should I do before my appointment?
Your lash artist will supply you with makeup remover and lash cleanser to prep your lashes at the salon, or you could clean them well at home before the appointment. I would recommend you wash your hair and face before the appointment to avoid getting them wet after your lashes get done. If possible, try to avoid caffeine for at least 2 hours before the appointment to prevent your eyes from blinking or twisting during the appointment.
♦ What happens during the appointment?
The appointment is relaxing and comfortable. Our lash artist will take you to the private lash room with a comfortable bed, cozy blanket, and relaxation music. The application is a gentle touch on your eyes; there is no irritation or discomfort during the appointment. Your eyes will remain closed while you relax; we call this a “beauty nap”. I would recommend putting the phone in silent mode for your relaxation moment. The first new set is about 90 minutes and refills between 40 and 60 minutes with our lash artists’ appointments.
♦ What are eyelash extensions made from?
Eyelash extensions are made from synthetic mink lashes, which are high-quality synthetic fibers, to ensure that they look natural black and have a soft feeling on your eyes.
♦ What types of eyelash extensions do you offer?
We offer different types of eyelash extensions to women of different ages and lifestyles. Our specialty is making you look beautiful with the most natural-looking design on each set. We customize eyelash extensions from a very natural-looking set to dramatic volume so that everyone will be amazed at how natural they are.
♦ How many lashes will I get with each type of appointment?
Depending on your eye shape and style, we will customize your eyes. We listen to your desires and need to make sure you get what you really want. We do not apply tons of heavy cluster lashes or unlimited volume fan lashes to your eyes. We want to enhance your beautiful eyes, not ruin your natural beauty!
♦ Does anyone know that I wear eyelash extensions?
With the right application from our lash artist and high-quality products, eyelash extensions should enhance the length and volume of your eyes. Most people do not know that you wear eyelash extensions. They will assume you simply have beautiful, natural lashes and give you compliments on your lashes. Some of my clients said their husbands are amazed at how they look more beautiful but do not know what makes them different (until they give a hint), or their friends or coworkers also wonder if those are their own natural lashes.
♦ Can I still swim, work out, sweat, etc. with my eyelash extensions?
Yes, you can. Please wait 24 hours after each appointment before doing any water activities. And wash them with purified water once you finish.
However, please be careful with extreme heat like an oven, dry sauna, or fire; it might cause your lashes to dry and burn the tips of your lashes.
♦ Do eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?
With proper application, eyelash extensions do not damage your natural lashes. Our artists apply them carefully to each natural lash, further away from your eyelid, and make sure they never get clumpy or stick together. Your natural lashes will grow healthy and stronger with proper care at home. Limit eye makeup and do not pick your own eyelashes.
♦ What kind of makeup should I wear with eyelash extensions?
In my own experience, since I wore eyelash extensions, I only use facial moisturizer and sunscreen and fill in with eyebrow pencil and lipstick. I’m ready to go!
However, if you love the look of eyeshadow and eyeliner, you can still wear them with eyelash extensions; just be extra careful when you remove the eye makeup with oil-free products and remember to wash your eyes well with baby shampoo. Do not sleep with eye makeup or be afraid of your lashes getting wet. It’s ok; your lashes need to be clean and healthy!
